Sthone will be a story performed on stage about love and identity directed by Jonathan De Maeyer.
By combining double video projections, choreography and live music of guitarist Tim Courtyn Jonathan wants to redefine the concept of the male/female dualism, as in Aristophanes' speech (see the research: the universality of love), and challenge the relevance of it.
Can we still identify with the split beings today and is our identitarian quest for love still so twofold?
Jonathan searches within the modern world why this heteronormative dualism has dominated our image of love for so long.
